If the reservation is checked in, you will not be able to move this from within the Room Schedule. This will need to be moved from the Manage Reservations area.
If you need to move a reservation to a different room and are unable to do this, then there are two possible reasons why.
Firstly, if the room you are trying to move is locked, then you will not be able move it. This is what it would look like on the Room Schedule if the room was locked. The padlock is in the closed position.
You can also check if a room is locked from the Manage Reservations screen as well. It will show a green locked padlock as shown below:
To remove the padlock, double click on the reservation in Room Schedule and the pop-up will appear, click on the padlock icon as highlighted below and then click 'Confirm'. Now the room will be unlocked and you will be able to drag and drop the reservation on the Room Schedule.
Remember to click 'Save' when trying to move the room under the Room Schedule, otherwise it will not save it to the new room moved and it will keep it in the original room.
The other reason that would prevent you from moving a room would be that the room is out of inventory. You can check this by either going to the Room Schedule or going into Housekeeping > Service Status.
On the Room Schedule you will see quite clearly if there are any rooms set to out of inventory. Please see image below. You can delete the service status from here by double clicking on service, which will open up a pop-up where you have the option to delete it.
Once you double click on the service, the pop-up will appear as below, and you need to click on 'Remove Service Status' to remove the service.
If you going into Service Status in the Housekeeping part of Hop to check you can search by date or room number to find the information.
If you find a service status logged that should have been removed, then you can delete it from here by clicking on the red trash icon, as highlighted below. It will ask you to confirm before deleting this.
Rooms are normally set to Out of Inventory for a good reason so it is always important to check that this service status can be removed with the relevant member of staff first.
Please note that not everybody has the user rights to a delete service status, so if you are unable to delete one, please check with your manager.
