Optimising your room descriptions and photos

Your booking engine pulls through the room descriptions and photos that you enter in the PMS. It is therefore a good idea to keep these up-to-date and filled with information to help you sell your rooms to potential customers. 


If you look at the below image, there are four areas that we have highlighted:

  1. This comes from what you enter in Rooms > Room Types in the Description field, which is the second box from the top. Try not to make the wording overly descriptive
  2. This comes from what you enter in Rooms > Room Types in the Details field, which is the third box from the top. This is where you can be really descriptive and tell people exactly why this Room Type is the one they should go for!
  3. The facilities need to be set up in Administration > Option Sets under the heading Room or Room Type Feature. Once you have created your pre-defined list of features, head to Rooms > Room Types and "attach" the relevant ones to each of your room types: 
  4. Photos can be uploaded by going to Rooms > Room Types and uploading them against each of your room types. We recommend that you have a minimum of one image per room type, but preferably a selection. Click the icon highlighted below to upload an image file: 


Note: The system automatically applies a square frame to all uploaded images so that they appear uniform across all online channels.
