Product categories are where you can group the items you sell into categories. For example, if you sell Pizza and wish to have these items (set under Products) shown on the shop together under a Pizza heading then you would set up a Pizza category.
From here you can see the display order, number of products linked to the category, the menu/s it is linked to and printers.
You can delete a category at any stage by pressing the red bin icon next to the edit pencil.
To add new categories simply press the Add button, fill in the name and select the display order if you wish (this is the order they will display on your Shop.
Categories are available to be booked on Hop Shop anytime you have time slots set, if a category like Breakfast is only available for a set time in the morning, then you can add a menu item Shop > Menus and set the times it is available. Once set you can select this Menu for your Breakfast Category so the times will apply on the shop.
You can also add printers via Product categories. The Printer attached to the category is the printer and products associated with this category will print to. You can select more than one printer per category, this will enable you to send the same product to separate printers at the same time.
