This is where you can set up Modifiers to add to your products. It allows customers to add extras and requests onto their orders. To start click the +Add button.
Enter the following information and then press Save:
- Name - The name of the modifier (e.g. Cheese.)
- Description - The description of the modifier (e.g. Grated mozzarella)
- Type - There are two types of modifiers, How Do You Like It and Addition. Both can have a price associated with them, however the former is intended for use as a cooking instruction or request (e.g. white bread/brown bread/gluten free or rare/medium/well) whereas the latter is for optional extras (e.g. additional toppings on a pizza)
- Article - This is the billing article that the modifier is associated with for accounting purposes.
- Price - The price of the modifier (e.g. £0.00 for How do you like it? or £1.50 for an extra pizza topping)
- Display Order - The order the modifier should be displayed online (e.g. enter "1" if you want it to appear first in the list of available modifiers)
You can add an image after you have saved the Modifier.
To attach modifiers to your products, go to Shop > Products and click on a product name. You will see a field called Modifier where you will be able add the relevant modifier(s) to the product and then save your changes.
Available modifiers will then appear in a pop-up window when a customer selects a given product in your Shop. Regardless of whether you give your modifiers a price, How Do You Like It modifiers require the customer to choose one of these to proceed, whereas Additions are considered as optional extras.
To temporarily remove a modifier from sale, click on the name or the edit icon. Scroll to the bottom of the window and tick the Disabled box.
To delete a Modifier, click on the red bin icon and confirm deletion.
