How to ensure you do not offer certain rates online

Modified on Tue, 27 Aug at 12:31 PM

Sometimes, you may have specific rate plans set up that you only wish to use for direct bookings, or for certain types of reservation (e.g. a corporate rate for a company that regularly sends its employees to stay with you). To make sure that these are not being sold on your website, there are a few simple steps to follow...

If the rate plan is already set up, please go to Rates > Rate Plans and look at the column highlighted below:

If there is a tick next to a rate plan in the 'Include in Booking Engine' column, this means that the rates will be available on your Booking Engine. To remove this, simply click on the rate plan name to edit it, scroll to the bottom of the 'Details' tab and un-tick 'Include in Booking Engine' before pressing Save.

Similarly, if you are in the process of setting up a new rate plan, just remember to go to the bottom of the 'Details' tab and un-tick 'Include in Booking Engine' before you save and exit.

OTAs

If you wish to cease offering a rate plan for sale on the OTAs you are connected with, this is why we recommend having a separate rate for OTAs, as that way you can simply close it off in the Rate Calendar (e.g. if your direct rate is called BB and your online rate is called OTA BB).
