Updating Firmware on your Star Printer

1) Go to the following URL and download and install the IP scanning tool:

https://angryip.org/

2) Once installed open the Angry IP Scanner software. Click the Start button to begin the scan.

3) The tool will then scan your network for all devices connected to it, including your printers.

4) Once the scan has finished, click on Hostname and then sort by Hostname.

5) Find the device(s) starting with "StarMicronics" and make a note of the IP Address(es)

6) Enter each IP Address you found in Step 2 into an internet browser and log into the configuration panel:

7) Click on Firmware Update from the menu on the left:

8) Click on the "Check for updates" button:

9) If an update is due, follow the instructions to install it. The update will take about five minutes.
