Setting up Table Service
Go to Shop > Configuration and then navigate to the 'Table Service' tab, before ticking the box labelled 'Enable Table Service' to activate it:
By default, this will allow a Table Service order to be placed at any time of day. If you prefer to align it with your opening hours, then you will need to tick the 'Use Table Service Opening Hours' box as well. This will allow you to specify what times each day of the week that orders can be placed. Below are two different examples on how you could do this:
Once you have turned this feature on, customers within your restaurant you to place an order on their phone/tablet, by either typing in the address of your Shop website or scanning a QR code to be taken directly there. Whichever method you would like them to use, you will first of all need to go to Shop > Tables and set up your tables.
Adding Tables
To add a new table press the +Add button and you will see this screen:
Input the table number or name, make sure that the table is Active and then press Save.
To download a QR code that you can place on the table press the 'Download QR Code' button located in your list of tables:
The QR code will display your Hotel Invoice Logo, which can be uploaded by going to Administration > Property in the PMS, as well as the following:
- Hotel Name
- QR Code
- Table Number/Name
Using the QR code
A customer can use the QR code by simply using the camera on their Android or iOS device:
The QR code will redirect them to the Hop Shop menu, automatically selecting their table number for them.
