The difference between adding a Credit Card payment and an Offline Card payment

Modified on Thu, 8 Aug at 2:38 PM

When you are adding a payment in Hop, you are presented with a list of payment methods, two of which are Credit Card and Offline Card.

If you select Credit Card you will then be prompted to enter the full card details on the transaction screen such as the Card number, Expiry Month/Year, CVC. It will then process the card electronically via Hop and either take payment there and then or if you would like to store the card for later you can do by entering an amount of £0.

If you select Offline Card, this does not take any money from the card. The option is there to enable you to record the fact that you have taken a card payment on a separate system such as a card machine or till.
