How do I prevent bookings being made that include children?

It is often the case that some hotels only allow bookings from guests over the age of 18. In that case, you can configure the booking engine so that customers are unable to carry out an availability search for a stay that includes children and/or infants.

To specify this in Hop and reflect this on your booking pages, go to Administration > Booking Engine and scroll down to the 'Occupancy Controls' section towards the bottom of the page.

Underneath the three boxes called 'Adult Label Text', 'Children Label Text' and 'Infant Label Text' are two tickboxes. Un-ticking these will stop the Child and/or Infant search fields being displayed on the Booking Engine when a guest tries to make a reservation:

Please note that for OTA reservations, you may need to review the settings on your OTA extranet as there are similar settings like this on booking.com and Expedia for example, which you will need to ensure reflect the same things as in Hop.
