Specifying age limits for adults, infants and children

Modified on Tue, 07 Nov 2023 at 03:29 PM

It is often the case that different hotels will have different definitions of the age limits for children and infants (especially if infants are included free but children are not).

To specify this in Hop and reflect this on your booking engine, go to Administration > Booking Engine and scroll down to the 'Occupancy Controls' section at the bottom. Here, you will find three text boxes called Adult Label Text, Children Label Text and Infant Label Text which you can update with appropriate wording (please note that this is limited to a maximum of 20 characters) to clarify your booking policy:

Please note that for OTA reservations, you may need to review the settings on your OTA extranet as there are similar settings like this on booking.com and Expedia for example, which you will need to ensure reflect the same things as in Hop.
