Is there a way to “switch off” the booking engine after a certain time of day?

Although the booking engine cannot be switched off overnight, it can be configured to prevent same day bookings being made after a certain time. To use this functionality, please do the following:

  • Go to Administration > Booking Engine
  • Scroll down the screen until you get to “Same Day Booking Time Restrictions”
  • Tick the box to enable the restriction and key in a time (GMT)
  • Provide a suitable message in the text box (e.g. "Please contact us on 07xxxx for any enquiries")
  • Click "Update settings" to save your changes

If a guest tries to make a booking through your website after the time specified here, they will not be able to do so. Instead, after selecting a room type or rate plan, they will see the message you typed in the text box above.

You should also remember to update your check-in start and end times so that they are displayed to customers making a reservation on your booking engine:

  • Go to Administration > Property
  • Scroll down the screen until you get to the 'Property Details' section
  • Add or update your check in times, as needed
  • Click "Update Details" to save your changes
