When setting up a rate plan, you have the option to include a Promo Code on the Details tab. Doing so will allow guests to enter this Promo Code when creating a reservation on your booking engine and there are two settings which you should be aware of:
- Exclude rate plan from Booking Engine or API search results if promo code does not match
- Exclude all other rate plans if promo code is used
If you tick the first box, this means that the promotional rate will only appear in search results on your booking engine if the Promo Code is spelled correctly, otherwise it will be hidden from view.
If you tick the second box, this means that the promotional rate will be the only search result on your booking engine if it entered during an availability search. This is particularly useful if you have a special rate for a function or event.
