What to do if an OTA reservation comes in with too many guests

If this occurs, please first of all check that your room occupancy settings are correct in Hop. You can do this by going to Rooms > Room Types and the information will be displayed on the overview page:


If you need to change any of these, simply click on a room type name to edit it and then scroll down to the boxes that control minimum and maximum occupancies as needed. 


If these are correct, the next step would be to check that the occupancy settings on your OTA Extranet(s) are correct as well. These are not linked to Hop itself as they form part of your basic setup with the OTA therefore you may need to manually adjust these if they are incorrect.
