Articles are set up to allow charges to be captured to the correct revenue groups. They are therefore an essential part of the system for your accounts reporting. They are basically anything that is billable.
Services, on the other hand, can be set up to allow specific charges to be added to bookings or rate plans. This is usually in the form of optional extras, such as a late check-out, pet fee or add-on meal.
