If you get an error when taking a payment (example shown below) there are various reasons why this make occur. It could be insufficient funds or an incorrect CVV/security number on a payment card/credit card number.
If this happens then you could contact the guest and ask them to confirm the card details again or provide new ones if it doesn't work still. Or you could contact your payment gateway provider to confirm what the error code means. There are many different error codes which mean different things and these should all be explained on your payment gateway help guide or website.
Another example error is shown below. This is normally when a card has been flagged by your payment gateway provider as non-reusable. There could be a number of reasons for this. Logging into your payment dashboard may give you more information.
