Why can't I add a charge to a room? (no description)

If you are adding a manual charge to a room and the charge Description box is highlighted in red with no options to fill this field that means there have not been any 'Descriptions' added in Option Sets.


 

The 'Description' field is mandatory so you will need to add some in.

To do this go to Administration > Option Sets. 

From the drop down box at the top locate 'Charge Description' and then click the '+Add' button. 




 

Then add in your Option Value, that being 'Charge' or 'Extra Charge' or what you would prefer to be in the Description box when adding a charge on the transaction page to a reservation. The Sort Order is the order you wish to see it in the drop-down list on the transaction page.
