The booking engine provides guests that have booked with you direct the ability to manage their reservation online:
By default this is limited to checking the details and cancelling it, however if you wish to allow them the flexibility to edit their reservation as well you can do this by updating your rate plan policies.
To do this, go to Administration > Policies and click the name of the policy that you wish to edit and tick the box to Allow Editing a Reservation Via the Booking Engine, as shown below:
