To check in a guest, the respective room needs to be vacant and clean. To vacate it, you need to check out the previous guest. This will set the room status to “vacant, dirty”. Next go to “Housekeeping” and click on “Room Status”. Check the room status and set it to “vacant clean” or “vacant clean inspected” (this task is usually performed by your head housekeeper).
You can then check the guest in from Reservations - Manage Reservations or Bulk Check In.
