Changing your Booking Engine URL

When a hotel goes live with Hop, the standard URL of our booking engine begins with bookings.hopsoftware.com

You may decide that you would prefer your customers to not see this and make the URL in their browser look more like the URL of your website for continuity purposes. We can do this for you by "masking" the Hop URL with a domain of your choice. 

To do this, please contact help@hopsoftware.com with the following information:

• The URL that you wish to use
  • This should be a sub domain of your website domain (e.g. if your web address is myhotel.com then you may want us to use bookings.myhotel.com for your booking engine).
  • You should create a CNAME DNS entry for bookings.myhotel.com pointing to myhotel.hopsoftware.com
• The SSL certificate for the domain
  • Your web designer or IT provider will be able to set this up

Our Support Team will then process this for you and carry out the switchover as soon as possible, bearing in mind that we will try to avoid peak hours so as not to affect your web traffic. 

Finally, please note that if you already have a booking link on your website with the bookings.hopsoftware.com URL these changes will not break that link however you will need to get your web designer to update your website with the new URL once we have confirmed it is live.
