How long does it take for updates from Hop to show on the OTAs

Updates are sent to the OTA(s) that you are connected to whenever certain actions are performed in the PMS, such as:

 

  • New Reservation created
  • Reservation modification/cancellation
  • Service status added
  • Service status removed
  • New Restriction added to rate plan
  • Restriction modification/cancellation
  • Rate plan price change

 

The information that we exchange with the OTAs means that their Extranets will usually update immediately and as long as they do so this means that your connection with them via our channel manager is working correctly.

 

Please note, however, that we have no influence on the amount of time it takes for an OTA to feed updates through from their Extranet through to the customer-facing website; this is a completely separate process owned and managed by them and is therefore 100% internal to each company.
