If tips/gratuities are not coming through as such and instead coming through as the default EPOS article, then that either means whatever is set up in Hop, does not match what is set up on your till or you do not have anything set up to account for tips in Hop.
For example, if you set up an Article Sales Type in Hop as 'Gratuities' and the button on your till is 'Tips' then when it comes across to Hop, it will default to whatever is set as the default article (as has been set up in Administration > Property) as the PMS will be expecting 'Gratuities' instead of 'Tips'. Please check what you have set up in Property, scroll down to Property Settings and look for 'Default Article for EPOS Charges', as highlighted below. You can change this by adding a new Article in Hop or amending the original Article and changing the name to match what you have set up on your till.
Please check the sales type mapping (instructions below on how to do this) in Hop for tips, then you need to make sure you have the same set up on your EPOS, please reach out to your EPOS provider about this.
To find out what article sales types you currently have set up please go to Accounting Manager > Article Sales Types in Hop. You will find everything set up here for your tills and you can add or amend your tips or gratuities article here (after you have amended the name in Administration > Articles).
