Hop Sage One Integration

Modified on Thu, 29 Aug at 11:31 AM

The integration allows the Accounts Daily export to be automatically pushed through as a Journal import to your Sage One accounting solution, without the need to download it as a CSV file and import the data manually.

Connecting to Sage One

To set up the Sage One integration in Hop, navigate to Administration > Integrations and look for the section called 'Sage One Integration' in the middle of the page.

Click the 'Authorise Integration' button. This will open up a login page, asking you to provide the login details for your Sage One account and grant Hop access to it.

If the connection is successful, you will be returned back to Hop again. If you see an error message, please contact Hop Support.

Next, click on the Configuration tab and select the time of day that you would like the export to run. (Please note this should be at least 2 hours after the Night Audit to ensure all transactions are brought through.)  Select the business to export to, this can be down to if you have many businesses in your Sage One account.

We also recommend that you tick the 'Enable Accounts Daily Export Notification emails' box to turn on daily email notifications to advise if it has been successful or it has failed. Tick the box and then enter one or more email addresses you would like this to go to

Press the 'Update Settings' button to save your changes.

If the Integration fails it should advise why this has happened, and you will need to manually complete the import for this day by uploading accounts daily export from Hop as a CSV file to your Sage One account . Please contact help@hopsoftware.com if you repeatedly receive failure emails so that we can confirm if there is a wider issue.

Troubleshooting

Q: In the notification email, I see an error like this - what does it mean and how do I fix it?

Cannot find Ledger Account with Nominal Code "1111" for Accommodation

A: This is a mis-configuration issue between Hop and Sage One. The nominal codes used on the Articles in Hop must match the Ledger Account Codes used in Sage One and vice versa.

Q: In the notification email, I see an error like this - what does it mean and how do I fix it?

Invalid_grant - the submitted refresh_token is invalid

A: The "refresh token" for this account is out of date. To resolve this, the Sage One user must login to PMS and re-authorize the Hop application on Sage One. Just head to Administration > Integrations and click the Authorise Integration button and then re-input your account login details.

Once the errors have been resolved if you then want to send the missing days data over to Sage you can Back Fill the data over by clicking the third tab (shown below).
