How do I close out my whole hotel for a day?

If you go to Housekeeping > Service Status and then click on the “+Add” button (in the same way as you would if you wanted to close out a single room).

You will see that there is a ‘Select All Rooms’ button. You can still use the drop-down menu to close out one or more rooms manually, however this feature will save you time if you need to remove all rooms from your inventory quickly. Select the date you want to close out for and choose ‘Out of Inventory’ or ‘Out of Order’ as the status. Select your reason and add a brief note in the description box. Make sure you click Save.

Any room that is 'Out of Inventory' or 'Out of Order' cannot be sold, or allocated until you delete the service status or the expiry date has elapsed. This will deduct from your occupancy, you can see this on your availability screen show in red brackets.

When a particular room is put 'Out of Service', this will not be deducted from your occupancy figures, or affect any Yield Management rules that may be in place. Therefore you will still be able to sell or allocate bookings to this room type even if the room has a status of 'Out of Service'

An example of how this would be useful could be:

You have a group of rooms that you generally do not use in the low season when its quiet (say, the top floor or the Annexe Rooms). Through this period you could set them to ‘Out of Service’ however if you did receive a sudden influx of bookings, you will be able to allocate the rooms as needed.
