Accounting Manager - Article Sales Types

This area allows you to map Articles within the PMS to the Sales Types passed over from your integrated EPOS System. This will allow Hop to distinguish between different types of sales such as food and drink. (Please contact your EPOS System provider for details of what sales types they can support, as some allow for greater flexibility than others.) 

If you set up mapping here to an Article with the 'Redeemed by Room charge' option enabled, room charges made from your EPOS System will be redeemed against Rate Plans that include this Article. This may be useful in scenarios where, for example, an allocated amount for breakfast or dinner is included in a Rate Plan but you still want to charge these through your EPOS System.

Adding a mapping 

Click the +Add button in the top right corner of the screen. 

Article - Select one of your Articles in HOP using the drop-down menu. 

Sales Type - Enter the name of the sales type exactly as it is recorded in your Epos system.

Decide whether VAT is calculated on the sales type based on what tax is set up in HOP (tick Use Article VAT) or the tax settings from your tills (leave Use Article VAT unticked).

Press Save once you are done.

Edit a mapping 

Click on the name of the Article Code to edit a mapping. Amend the details as needed and press Save once done.
