Administration - Services

Modified on Wed, 4 Sep at 9:01 AM

The Services section is now organised into two areas: Manage and Inventory.

  • Manage: Create new services, set default inventory levels, and apply restrictions all in one place.
  • Inventory: Access a calendar view displaying all services, their inventory limits, and the number of bookings already made.

Creating a Service

Services can be set up to allow specific charges that can be added to bookings or rate plans.

This is usually in the form of optional extras, such as a late check-out, pet fee or add-on meal.

To add a new service, click the +Add button in the top right corner.

  • Provide a name (service code), description and long description for your service.
  • Associate one or more of your articles to a service.
  • Choose the service type if applicable and department.
  • Select the booking pattern specifying whether the service charges per stay, per day, or per quantity.
  • If the service should be charged per person, tick the corresponding box.
  • To make the service available for guests to add to their reservation via your website, ensure the ‘Include in Booking Engine’ option is ticked.

If you're setting up services that you don’t want to be available immediately, you can mark them as Inactive.

Once you’re done, press Save.

Adding Restrictions

If you need to set restrictions, such as limiting a service to certain rate plans or room types (e.g., a dog charge that applies only to Dog-Friendly rooms), follow these steps:

  • Go to the Restrictions tab.
  • Select the relevant Rates and Room Types, then specify the date range and days of the week for the restriction.
  • Toggle the "Closed" field to "Yes."
  • Click Add Restriction to save your changes.

At the bottom of the page, an audit log records both historical and current restrictions.

  • Use the date range filter at the top to easily navigate between past and future weeks or months.
  • You can also filter by specific services and choose to display “Inactive” or “Deleted” services.
  • To adjust the inventory for a particular day, simply click on the booking number for the desired service and date. Don't forget to click the tick mark to save your changes.

Please note: Services marked with the infinity symbol () indicate unlimited inventory.

Adding services to a reservation.

We have changed the point at which you add services to help accommodate multi room bookings. Instead of adding a service or extra to the Reservation as a whole you can now add this to the individual rooms.
