Users - Manage Users

Modified on Wed, 03 Jan 2024 at 10:32 AM

This screen is where you can come to create new users and manage existing users.

Add a new user

To add a new user simply press the +Create User button, fill in all the required fields and settings for the user and select Save.

A username can only be used once in Hop so if you get an error message saying Username ****** is already in use you will need to think of another username.

Once a user has been created, direct them to https://pms.hopsoftware.com and ask them to click on the New User? Click here to activate your login link. They can then set their own password via the link sent to the email address associated with the username.

If you are not sure what hop role to give the user clicking on Permissions and Activities will show you what rights each role gives a user.

Please note that if a user has set up two-factor authentication via email, you will not be able to change their email address. Click here to read our guide on two-factor authentication.

If a user cannot remember their password, they can click on the Forgotten Password link on the PMS login page or you can click the email icon next to their username in Manage Users and a reset email will be sent to them.

If a user has been locked out, click on the padlock icon and confirm you wish to unlock the account.

To temporarily make a user Inactive/Active, select the person icon in the Active column and confirm the action you wish to do, either deactivate or activate the user.

If disabling a user, this is what you will be shown.
