Housekeeping - Room Status

Modified on Tue, 02 Jan 2024 at 04:49 PM

Room status lists all bedrooms and event rooms within your property. The view can be filtered by selecting either Accommodation Rooms or Event Rooms. You also have the option to display on this page the building, floor, section that each room is located and for the one status and housekeeper. There are also columns for the layout, Articles and Services. You can choose which columns are shown so if you do not require certain ones such as Floor or section you can remove these by clicking on Choose Columns.

The Guest Status column shows what rooms have arrivals, departures and stay overs for the current day.  If you have show estimated time of arrival set up in Administration > Property this will show next to the guest status.

To control the status of your rooms, for example from Occupied dirty to Cleaning in progress, click the drop-down box and select from the options available. Should you wish to change multiple room statuses, tick each box on the left-hand side then change the status from the drop-down selection to update them all.

*Assigning of housekeepers can only be done by Housekeeping Management users.

You can assign a housekeeper to a room each day by selecting their name from the drop-down box or allocate the same rooms for them to clean every day.

To allocate a default housekeeper to a specific room go to Rooms > Room Setup. Click on the room to edit, select the default housekeeper and click Save.

The Layout column will show the room configuration (if selected) and any notes that have been saved against the booking that may be useful to the housekeeper, for example “cot required”. If there are no notes on a reservation, then you will not see this icon.
