If you encounter problems charging to a guest’s room from the till there are several things that you can check:
- Go to Reservations > Manage Reservations and ensure that the room is checked in. Room charges will not work if a reservation is not checked in as the room cannot be found from the till.
- Go to Reservations > Manage Reservations and click the + symbol next to the RES number this then opens up the room (RESX) then select the drop down arrow and click edit item.
Go to the Charges tab and make sure that the Charge Privileges box is ticked:
- Some tills allow you to search by guest name whereas others can only search by room number.
- Some EPOS systems will only accept room numbers and not room names/number that contain a letter e.g. EPOS North – please check with your EPOS provider the criteria you can search.
- Finally, there must be a guest assigned to the room. If the guest field is blank like the below the room will not be found by the till.
