Problems charging to rooms

If you encounter problems charging an item from the till to a guest's room, there are several things that you can check:


  1. Go to Reservations > Manage Reservations and ensure that the room is checked in. Room charges will not work if a reservation is in any state other than Checked In. 
  2. Go to Reservations > Manage Reservations and click on Edit Item from the drop-down menu next to the RESX number. Go to the Charges tab and make sure that the Charge Privileges box is ticked:
  3. Some tills allow you to search by guest name whereas others can only search by room number - you should check your EPOS provider's requirements before you commence using them. 
  4. Some EPOS systems will only accept room numbers and not room names/number that contain a letter - you should check your EPOS provider's requirements before you commence using them.
  5. Finally, there must be a guest assigned to the room and not just a booker to the reservation:
