New Dashboard Widgets

We’ve introduced new widgets to the Hop dashboard to give you faster insight into daily activity and occupancy at a glance.

Today’s Activity

The Today’s Activity widget shows all bookings and cancellations made on the selected date.

Sales tab

• Displays reservations created today
• Includes number of nights, total cost, and a clickable reservation number for quick access
• Select View All to see the full list of bookings made that day
• Use the arrow in the top-right corner to change the date and view historical activity

Cancellations tab

• Shows all reservations cancelled on the selected date
• Makes it easy to track and review cancellations in one place

Today’s Occupancy

The Today’s Occupancy widget provides a clear snapshot of your property’s status for the day:

• Today’s occupancy percentage vs vacant percentage
• Total number of guests, broken down by:
• 
  
  • Adults
  • Children

New Feature: Discounts at Creation of Reservations & Events

You can now create and apply discounts directly at the time of booking in Hop, giving you more flexibility when managing reservations and events.

Reservation Discounts

Discounts can be applied:

• At the reservation level (ideal for multi-room bookings)
• At the room level (for individual rooms)

Discounts are calculated against the total of:

• Accommodation
• Services
• Extras

Discount Timing Options

Choose how and when discounts are applied:

• Per Stay – applied in full during the first night audit
• Per Day – applied daily during the night audit

Discount Values

Discounts can be set as:

• A percentage, or
• A fixed value (with the option to apply the value per guest)

Discounts are applied by selecting the relevant article and defining the discount conditions. Once saved, discounts are automatically posted during the night audit.

If both room-level and reservation-level discounts are applied they will be combined, discounts are always calculated against the originaltotal cost.

Invoices & Guest Communication

• Discounts appear as a separate line item on:
• 
  
  • Pro forma invoices
  • Standard invoices
• Discounts can be displayed in guest emails using custom fields

After a reservation has been checked in, any additional discounts must be added via the View Transactions page.

Event Discounts

Discount functionality is now also available for Events.

• Discounts can be added ahead of the event
• They are posted when “Charge to House Account” is applied
• Discounts can be configured:
• 
  
  • Per event or per day
  • As a percentage or fixed value

Event discounts are shown on:

• Templates
• Pro forma invoices
• Standard invoices

New Reports

We’ve introduced new reports to provide greater visibility into package pricing and room performance.

Rate Plan Package Report

The Rate Plan Package Report shows a detailed breakdown of the articles and costs that make up each package within a selected date range.

This report can be used to:

• Audit package pricing
• Review the articles included in each package
• Validate that package values are correctly configured

Room Report

The Room Report provides insight into room performance over a selected date range.

The report shows:

• The number of nights booked per room
• Revenue generated by each individual room

It helps you:

• Compare performance across rooms
• Identify high- and low-performing rooms
• Make informed decisions around pricing, upgrades, and room utilisation
