Email - SMTP Servers
To simplify the process of configuring Hop to send emails via your own email servers, we have consolidated the SMTP server settings so that they are all located in Administration > SMTP Servers instead. If you already have your SMTP settings in place, all details have been retained and you will not need to do anything - this change is to make the setup process more streamlined for people who have not been using SMTP prior to now.
Email - Logging
We have added a new Email Log to the PMS to enable you (as well as Hop Support) to diagnose any issues with the sending of unsent emails. This is especially important if you are using SMTP (see above) to send your mail. This is located in Administration > Email Log and is accessible to anyone with an Admin role or if they have been assigned the 'View Email Log' activity on their user profile. If you see a "Yes" in the Error Column and no timestamp to indicate that the email was sent, you can re-queue it for re-sending.
Accounts Daily
We have updated the Accounts Daily report to prevent it from automatically loading whenever you enter or change your search criteria. The only change that you will notice is that we have added a 'Run' button on this screen, which you will need to press before the report appears.
Hide Inactive Rate Plans in Rates > Rate Plans
We have now set as a system default for inactive rate plans to not be shown in the rate plan overview for all properties. If you do wish to view inactive rate plans in the list, you can use the checkbox at the top of the page. This will give you a clearer picture of active rates and saves searching through if you have multiple pages of rate plans.
Change the message displayed when the HopShop is closed
You can now customise the message that is displayed when the HopShop is closed. This gives you the flexibility to update the wording from 'Shop' to 'Restaurant' if you solely use HopShop for Table Service, add in your opening hours or display your phone number. You can do this by going to Shop > Configuration in the PMS, or leave it blank if you are happy to continue using the default wording.
Booking Engine - Change the wording of 'No Availability' message
We have added ability to customise the message shown on your Booking Engine when there are no rooms available for the search that a guest has entered. For example, you may wish for it to display a message encouraging people to call you up instead. To do this, simply navigate to Administration > Booking Engine and enter your desired text in the 'Promo Code Label / Placeholder' field.
Booking Engine - Change the wording of the Promo Code field
You are now able to change the title of the 'Promo Code' field on the Booking Engine if you wish. For example, you may prefer for it to say 'Discount Code' or 'Coupon Code' instead. To do this, simply navigate to Administration > Booking Engine and enter your desired text in the 'Promo Code Label / Placeholder' field.
Booking Engine - Option to 'Pay Later'
As part of a bespoke feature introduced for a new Hop customer, we have introduced the ability for properties to give their customers the option to 'Pay Later' on the Hop Booking Engine and settle their bill by invoice (whether that be a company or themselves) without entering any card details. For obvious reasons, this is something that we have given you complete control over and so will only ever appear to guests if all of the following criteria have been met:
